During harvest, Lane and I would go out to the field for supper almost every day. It was a good way to get out of the house each day and it was the only way that Curtis would get to see Lane! It was also nice because Lane would take a short nap on the way out to the field and then he would be happy for the rest of the evening. Lane went to bed about 8:00 each night, and I definitely enjoyed my alone time before Curtis got home! (Lots of scrapbooking, reading...) Harvest seemed to last a long time, probably because there was about a week of rain which kept the guys out of the field! Lane enjoyed seeing the tractors and trucks and even got to ride in them a few times. These pictures are of his first ride in a combine. It was hard to keep him from touching all the fun knobs and levers!
