It was a good thing that Lane was feeling better this weekend - it was a busy time! We spent Saturday afternoon/evening at Curtis' brother Chad's house. I was a little disappointed that Lane wouldn't be able to swim and play in the water since he was still getting over pneumonia. Turned out that it rained so he wouldn't have been able to go anyway! So we just hung out, playing and running around. Lane had a great time - especially when his Grandpa Farrall played songs from the '50s and started dancing. Lane bounced up and down and kinda moved around. He already has more rhythm than I do!
On Sunday after church, we went over to my Grandma and Grandpa Jost's house for verenika. Yum! I don't get it that often so I ate way too much! Lane loves it also - he ate a whole verenika, a large piece of ham, some green beans, and half a zweiback. Good little Mennonite boy! He loves playing upstairs at their house - lots of balls and a green pedal tractor. So much fun for a little guy!
We thought he'd fall asleep as soon as we got home, but he ended up staying awake almost all afternoon. He finally took a nap, then Curtis decided that since it was Father's Day, Jimmy Johns was the only thing he wanted for supper. We took a quick trip to Grand Island and stopped at a park on the way home. Lane slept good that night! It was a really fun weekend :)
