Katelyn - 1 year!

Happy birthday, Katelyn!  Hard to believe that a year ago, she looked like this:

Or, more accurately, like this:

SOOO happy to be past all that and on to toddlerhood! Much busier, but much more rewarding!

At 1 year, Katy:

-started walking on June 1st and hasn't stopped since.
-eats anything I put in front of her, especially cheese.
-doesn't really like milk in a sippy cup...this could get to be a battle yet!

-likes to make us laugh (usually by putting stuff on her head).
-still takes two naps, even if one is only 20-30 minutes long.
-is starting to talk.  Her first word was "Whisky".

-loves kitties and any other small furry animal.
-has 8 teeth, 4 on top, 4 on bottom.

-is up for anything and is always right beside her brother doing whatever he does.

-thinks slides are the greatest thing...and also doesn't mind getting dirty.
-loves to wear shoes.  If she finds a pair, she picks them up, takes them to the nearest person, sits down and holds her feet up in the air.
-is finally learning to fall asleep on her own.  I pretty much follow her lead, which means no crying it out.  Thank goodness, because she is a stubborn one!

-sometimes has this look on her face...not quite sure yet if she's concentrating, confused, or if it's an early version of "are you stupid??".
-has so much fun playing with Lane.  I can't wait to see them as they grow up together!
